I am excited to say that I will be a Grade One teacher at Neerlandia Public Christian School as I am returning from a maternity leave.  There will be two Grade One classes this year because of the rise in number of students. I am excited to be working closely with the other Grade One teacher, Mrs. Renee Rentz. This will be my seventh year of teaching.  Having lived in this community for the past 6 years, I am excited to teach in a place that I call home. My husband and I own a small hobby farm south of Neerlandia, where we are currently raising our son & our new daughter (born Nov 2019) alongside some animal friends. I was the Grade Three teacher at NPCS for a short while for the 2019/2020 year before I left on maternity leave. For the previous 5 years I have taught grade 1 in Westlock, followed by 4 years teaching grades K-9 at Pibroch Hutterite Colony School. The past years at the colony have taught me a lot about myself as a teacher. I am passionate about my students and truly believe that each child brings something special to the classroom. I grew up loving school and learning and my goal is to transfer that love for learning and discovering new things to each student I teach. I very much look forward to getting to know you and your child as we embark on our learning journey together this fall.
