Our Jr. High Running team did an awesome job of running yesterday (Mar. 10) and are qualified to run in the Semi-Finals at the Indoor Games to be held at the Butterdome  on Sat., Mar. 14. Congratulations team & coach, Brent Wierenga and good luck on Saturday.

The Jr. High Girls Basketball Team finished off their year on a high by winning Gold at Zone playoffs in Slave Lake on March 7, 2020. The boys team also won Gold! Coaches were very proud of the teams for this great accomplishment.  Way to go teams!

The Gr. 8/9 Boys Basketball team ended their season on a high after winning Gold at the Zone playoffs in Slave Lake on Mar. 7, 2020. The girls also won gold! Coaches were very proud of how the team played their best. Way to go Teams!

Kindergarten students visited the RCMP, Fire Station, Ambulance & Shepherd’s Care Centre on Mar. 5. They had a great day learning about our emergency services and visiting with the seniors.

The Snow Festival took place on Friday afternoon after the Winter Walk. A BIG Thank You to our Gr. 9 class & Mr. Trenton Wierenga for organizing the events. Everyone had lots of fun!

NPCS students and staff participated in the Winter Walk on Fri., Feb. 28. It was a beautiful, warm day and everyone enjoyed the walk around the hamlet. When they returned to school they were served hot chocolate & cookies by the Parent Council and then did some fun Snow Fest activities to finish the day.

Gr. 8/9 Boys team and Jr. High Girls Basketball teams both brought home silver medals from the Pembina Hills Divisional tournament. Our Christmas Assembly was held in our gym on Dec. 19th at 2:30 pm.  The students participated in songs and readings (Gr. 4 students) that told the Christmas Story. Students had a fun day as they had the opportunity to come to school in their comfy PJs!  Many of them dressed up but we caught a picture of the Gr. 1 class in front of our Christmas tree in the Foyer.

The staff and students were presented with a cheque for $500. from Mrs. Denise Stoik, representative of Farm Credit Canada (FCC).
