NPCS Jr. High Exam Schedule and End of Year Activities – June 2026

Here is an update on Jr. High Exams and activities on the last days of school this year.

Gr 9 Final Exams are Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs). There will be a PAT on Tuesday, June 16 (max 1 hr). There will be regular classes after these exams are done. These exams are in addition to the exams listed on the schedule below (PATs – June 19, 22 and 23). Gr 9 students will go to Edmonton for a Whirlwind Tour on June 18. Forms and Fees for this trip are available online (PowerSchool Parent Portal).

Gr 7 & 8 students will have final exams on June 18, 19, 22 and 23. Gr 7 & 8 Students will go swimming on the afternoon of June 18. All form and fees for this event must be in by Thursday, June 11.

Also for Gr 7 & 8 students, parents may choose to have their child exempt from one exam in a course for which they have 80% or higher. Exemption from an exam does not mean students are exempt from final projects or exam review. If you would like to have your child exempted from an exam, please email your child’s homeroom teacher and/or the school office.

For Final Exams, we will follow the schedule below, which includes things for students to do in the afternoons, after their exams:

*Gr 7 & 8 students who do not fill out the consent form and pay the swimming fee by Thursday, June 11, may not be allowed to go swimming on June 18.

**Gr 9 Edmonton Whirlwind Tour Consent Forms and Fees are available for parents to complete on PowerSchool

***Gr 9 HCS 3000 is an independent study High School Work Experience prerequisite course which gives each student who completes it, 1 credit towards their diploma.

Please Note: We also have a Gr 9 LA (Part B) PAT on Tuesday, June 9 (9:30-11:30am) and a Gr 9 Math (Part A) PAT on Tuesday, June 16 (9-10am).

Gr. 3 2026 Lemonade Stand was a Success!

A BIG Thank You to everyone for your support of the NPCS Gr 3 Lemonade Stand. The class sold 137 cups of lemonade and they will be sending $417.55 to the Stollery Children’s Hospital!

Citizenship Awards Were Presented on April 23, 2026

Half-Masting Notice – Workers’ Mourning Day

Elementary Basketball Camp at Westlock Elementary School

Honduras Mission Trip

We had the pleasure of welcoming former students to our chapel on Thursday, April 16. They shared about their recent mission trip to Honduras, offering meaningful insights and experiences from their time there, and highlighting how their work helped bring hope and encouragement to the community they served. They also shared about how this experience helped them to grow. This inspired everyone present.

Bobsleigh Olympian Melissa Lotholz

NPCS would like to thank the Neerlandia Christian Education Society for sponsoring an inspiring visit from Melissa Lotholz, three time Olympian and winner of two World Championship Medals. Melissa spoke to the students about God’s grace and hope, and she invited students to respond and accept these gifts from Him. Melissa also talked about how valuable it is for us to live out God’s plan for us, even when that is difficult and doesn’t make sense. This message was perfect for our students. What a blessing to have her visit us!

Tier 1 Basketball Teams Success at Zones!

Congratulations to our Tier 1 Boys and Girls Basketball teams, both competed in the NC Zones Championship. Girls brought home gold and the banner, boys took home third place medals! Great work! “Thank you Canadian Natural for sponsoring the NCASAA Championship Banners”
